Typical Board Member responsibilities include:
- Honor the legal responsibilities for duty of care, duty of loyalty, and the duty of commitment.
- Adhere to PFLAG Springfield/SWMO’s Code of Ethics and Racial Justice.
- Dedicated to PFLAG Springfield/SWMO’s Mission, Vision, and Values, including the chapter’s vitality.
- Attend Board meetings and selected Board Committees or meetings; review PFLAG Springfield/SWMO’s financial reports, minutes, and other meeting materials, as needed.
- Make an annual donation to the chapter and pay annual membership dues.
- Serve a two-year term with an option to five terms and commit 3-8 hours per month.
- Respond to tasks to support PFLAG Springfield/SWMO operations, depending on experience, committee service, and monthly chapter events.
